At the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation, we’re committed to high-quality, patient-centered care. Memorial Medical Center’s nationally recognized quality efforts aim to provide patients with not only the safest, highest quality of care, but a singularly great patient experience.
Our commitment to quality has been recognized on a national scale by respected and peer-reviewed committees, associations and publications focused on patient-centered excellence.
The Midwest Healthcare Quality Alliance (MHQA), housed on our fourth floor, is a partnership between Memorial Health System and Southern Illinois University HealthCare designed to develop innovative solutions for improving healthcare quality, safety, access and community outcomes.
The MHQA includes the Quality Alliance Patient Safety Organization (QAPSO), which focuses on patient safety and health-care quality. Patient safety organizations, like QAPSO, encourage clinicians and health-care organizations to voluntarily report adverse patient events so the data from these incidents can be analyzed to prevent them from happening in the future.
